What is sinupret used for?
Sinupret® (manufactured by Bionorica, Neumarkt, Germany and imported into the United States by Bionorica, LLC) is a unique herbal combination used to treat sinusitis or acute and chronic bronchitis.
Is sinupret an antibiotic?
Sinupret® loosens thick mucus, opens the nose, and helps to drain the mucus. As a result of its anti-viral and antibacterial effect, Sinupret® eXtract combats not only the symptoms but also the cause.
How long can you take sinupret?
Sinupret Forte dragees should not be taken for longer than 7-14 days.
How effective is sinupret?
Our current study result shows that administration of the herbal drug Sinupret® syrup (3.5 ml / 3 times daily) is effective in the treatment of acute viral rhinosinusitis in children aged 6 to 11.
When should I take sinupret?
Sinupret extract is swallowed with some liquid (e.g. a glass of water) without chewing 3 times a day (morning, noon and evening). If you have a sensitive stomach, you should preferably take Sinupret extract after meals. Unless otherwise prescribed, the duration of treatment is: 7-14 days.
Is sinupret a fever?
This combination medication is used to temporarily treat symptoms caused by the common cold, flu, allergies, or other breathing illnesses (such as sinusitis, bronchitis). Decongestants help relieve stuffy nose, sinus, and ear congestion symptoms. Acetaminophen (APAP) is a non-aspirin pain reliever and fever reducer.
Can you take sinupret everyday?
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. The recommended dose is: Adults take 1 coated tablet, 3 times daily (maximum 3 coated tablets daily).
Who should not take sinupret?
DO NOT take Sinupret extract if you have an existing stomach or duodenal ulcer or if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to gentian root, verbena herb, sorrel herb, elder flowers, primula flowers or any of the other ingredients of the medicine (for other ingredients, see under section 6 FURTHER INFORMATION).

Can sinupret raise blood pressure?
Using these drugs along with this product could increase side effects (such as fast heartbeat, increased blood pressure, or drowsiness). Ask your pharmacist about using those products safely.
What are the side effects of Sinupret?
Drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision, upset stomach, nausea, nervousness, or dry mouth/nose/throat may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly.
