What are Wagos used for?

Can I use Wago outside?
1 Answer. The Wagobox capsule junction box for those connectors is IP68 rated – waterproof to 4m. Not sure if it is UL listed or allowed in US codes though. However, those connectors should be ok in any junction box rated for exterior use..
Can Wago connectors be plastered over?
I would happily use a wago box in a stud wall to extend a cable, and indeed have done, not too sure about it being in a block wall and plastered over though. I would use wagos still but with heat shrink over the joint instead. The inline wagos from here are excellent for extending cable runs.
Can you conceal Wago connectors?
With Wago connectors the ONLY way of achieving a maintenance-free connection is to enclose the appropriate Wago connectors within a Wagobox. (The Wagobox is also only designed to accept certain types of Wago connectors to achieve MF certification.)
