How many shells does a Winchester SXP hold?
With the magazine three-shot adapter (plug) removed, your shotgun holds four 2¾” or 3″ shells in the magazine. SXP models with an extended magazine hold six 2¾” or 3″ shells in the magazine.
Is the Winchester 1300 still being made?
Now the 1300 has been discontinued by Winchester (eliminated when the ‘heads’ of the U.S. Repeating Arms Company also ended the classic Model 1894 from their offerings.) Despite the closing of the Winchester Repeating Arms Company the 1300 is still produced under the name “SXP” (Super X Pump).

Today’s SXPs are designed and production is overseen by our R&D team in Morgan, Utah. They are then manufactured in our partner factory in Istanbul, Turkey. Winchester introduced the SXP in 2010 as the successor to their popular 1300. We reviewed both the 26 and 28 inch SXP Waterfowl Hunter, chambered in 12 gauge, capable of shooting 3 1/2-inch with a Mossy Oak pattern. You can buy a model chambered in either 3-inch or 3 1/2-inch with either the 26 or 28-inch barrel.
