Is there parking in Golden Gate Park?
Parking is also available along roadways throughout the park. There are currently about 4,700 parking spaces available in the park. In support of our citywide Climate Action Plan, we encourage visitors to use public transportation to access the park.
Is parking open at Golden Gate Park?
Visitors can access the garage on the north side of the park at 10th Ave. and Fulton St. or from JFK Drive in front of the museum. The garage is open from 7:30 a.m. until 10 p.m. daily.
Where do you park to walk the Golden Gate?
There are two parking lots at the northern end of the Golden Gate Bridge, one on each side of the bridge.
- Vista Point parking lot (east side)
- North Tower parking lot (west side)
Is it free to walk across the Golden Gate Bridge?
It’s free to walk or bike across the Golden Gate Bridge. The pedestrian walkway is the east sidewalk that runs along the east (bay) side of the bridge. Bikes ride on either side, according to the daily schedule. Drivers pay a toll ($7.25) but only coming into San Francisco.

There are many ways to enjoy the Golden Gate Bridge. Visitors can go under the bridge, fly above it or cross over it.
Can you walk across the Golden Gate Bridge during Covid?
All-electronic tolling remains in effect at the Bridge. Access to Bridge sidewalks currently remains in place for pedestrians and bicyclists. Is Golden Gate Safe 2021?
I would advise visitors to either avoid this park or access it by cab or public transportation. You would think that with daily robberies in an area frequented by families and tourists, the city would provide a presence and increase surveillance.
