Each bird must weigh more than 6 ounces and no more than 25 pounds. The number of birds per parcel must follow the container manufacturer limits.

Our shipments go through the US Post Office. Birds are hatched on Monday and Tuesday (unless Monday is a Postal holiday and then we hatch on Tuesday and Wednesday) and delivered to our local post office for mailing that same day. Arrival is typically 2-3 days after they are shipped.

Counter-to-Counter: All birds are shipped air cargo. The counter-to-counter feature pays off when there are layover stops. Rather than sitting on a hot or cold tarmac, the birds are taken inside. On final arrival, the birds are immediately taken to the counter rather than the air cargo office.

How are birds shipped?
Birds will all travel as a cargo shipment, in the hold of the plane (called manifest cargo, required by most countries that allow importation). Most airlines do not allow a bird in cabin anymore. That said, birds will do quite fine in the lower deck.

How will my birds shipped? We ship using USPS. Ducklings and Chickens are usually shipped on Monday and are typically delivered to your local post office the following Wednesday. Your local post office will then call you to notify you that your birds are ready to be picked up.
