The online BLS renewal course is approved for 2 CEUs/CMEs, and two hours is the amount of time you should expect to spend to renew your BLS certification online with us. We will take you through all your BLS certification renewal requirements, from prepping and studying to passing the exam and becoming recertified.
Can you do ACLS recertification online?
You can get your ACLS renewal online through one of our recertification courses. Our online ACLS renewal courses, as well as our PALs and NRP recertification courses, are approved for 4 CEUs/CMEs (original certification courses are approved for 8 CEUs/CMEs).

How long is pals good for?
two years
PALS is geared towards healthcare providers who respond to emergencies in infants and children and for personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years.

What is the difference between BLS certification and recertification?
First-time certification courses can last up to 8 hrs while BLS recertification courses can last about half the time with the same trainer. BLS renewal also has fewer constraints when it comes to using online BLS certification companies.

Does PALS expire at the end of the month?
For Heartsaver, BLS, ACLS and PALS Courses: Per the American Heart Association, each provider card is valid for two years after successful completion of a course. The card is valid until the end of the month in which it expires.
What happens if your BLS expires?
BLS cards are valid for two years from the date on your certificate. If your certification expired more than 30 days prior to your review course, you’ll have to complete the full BLS certification course in order to regain your certification.
